Pollyanna Quotes Again

In the Second Scroll of Wen the Eternally Surprised a story is written concerning one day when the apprentice Clodpool, in a rebellious mood, approached Wen and spake thusly:

“Master, what is the difference between a humanistic, monastic system of belief in which wisdom is sought by means of an apparently nonsensical system of questions and answers, and a lot of mystic gibberish made up on the spur of the moment?”

Wen considered this for some time, and at last said: “A fish!”

And Clodpool went away, satisfied.

Yeah, good times, Red, good times…

Yes, we came to the end of CAKE! I really think that quote should be on my tombstone, don’t you? Wonder if I could get the family to commit to that…

Hmmm… Wouldn’t my someday-neighbors wonder about THAT when they saw me moving in. “No officer, she didn’t even have a couch, but she did have a tombstone.” Heh.

You know what, it would make a great inscription on a graveyard cake.

Or, written on a cake platter, so when you get to the last piece, there is “YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF CAKE.”
